For rear mounted bike racks, although a bike rack can take a certain number of bikes, this does not always mean that you can load that amount of bikes, your car rear door has a weight limit and you must check this with your manufacturer handbook before loading the bikes. Instructions a little tricky but following the pictures I found it fairly easy to assemble. Tried it out with one bike on and it seems robust and solid construction. Fittings to the car is metal hooks which are the only realistic way of attaching but not the most elegant, they do the job though. Service from Mick's Garage is as usual first class,

Very good product, as others have said the instructions aren't great, but they never are with these things...fairly intuitive anyway and easy to put together in the end. Once it's assembled it's dead simple to put on the car, can do it very quickly and once on the car holds the bikes solid as a rock, I've used it with a single bike and with two bikes with no problems either way. The pads and protectors that are supplied for the hooks and bars are a nice feature as it doesn't scratch or scuff the car when on. One thing, it's a bit tricky to put a ladies (angled crossbar) bike on over the brackets to hold the outer bike, and when on, a bike like that tends to sit at a slightly awkward angle....but it is possible and holds well in place.

Good product for the most part. Instructions aren't 100% clear so it will take a bit of trial and error to get things right (little things like flipping the pull cords to opposite sides so they pull correctly) however once you get it once its easy to repeat it and now I can have it on and off the car in about 2 minutes. Same issue with the bike it takes a bit of consideration when you are placing it on. The actual official method of placing the bike on doesn't 100% hold a single bike in place (I only have one so I cant check if its improved with multiple bikes). However with careful strap placement (putting some of the straps through the bike and wheels) you can have the bike 100% secure. I had purchased the pro bungee cord recommended with it however this didn't satisfactorily hold the wheels in place as it stretched too easy. Rated 4 star as price is excellent and product is good however could be improved with: A flat soft pad that is placed between the bike and the car to ensure no scratching Additional straps to help fully secure the bike/s Clearer instructions
